According to the influential business magazine Fortune, Toronto is "the best city in the world in which to live and do business". As well, the United Nations has designated Toronto as "the world's most cosmopolitan city". With over 4,000 restaurants, spectacular shopping, more art galleries than Chicago and Los Angeles combined, and one of the safest public transportation systems in the world, there are lots of things to see and do. As the third most active theatre centre in the world (after New York and London), Toronto hosts from 50 to 75 productions each month in over 70 venues, from converted factories and beautifully restored vaudeville houses to modern performing arts complexes.

Less than 90 minutes away is Niagara Falls, one of the world's seven natural wonders. Visitors thrill to the awesome power of the pounding water as it cascades over the majestic precipice. But this area has much more to offer. The Niagara Region is located on the same latitude as northern California and is home to Canada's richest wine region. Benefiting from a unique microclimate, many of the vintages produced here are taking their place among the great wines of the world. And don't miss the beautifully preserved resort town of Niagara-on-the-Lake where North America's second largest repertory theatre company produces a series of plays each summer in three venues. Quaint boutiques and relaxing cafes offer a relaxed pace.

Come to Ontario and experience these world-class destinations.

Toronto - Broadway North

Experience some of the best of North America’s live theatre productions. Toronto is the third largest English-speaking theatre center in the world and the cultural heartland of English-Canada. Toronto has it all – Broadway Shows, Dinner Theatre, Comedy Clubs, Children’s Theatre, Concert Halls, and Out-of-Town Theatre Festivals such as the Stratford Festival and the Shaw Festival just a short drive away

Toronto Neighbourhoods and International Nights

Come to Toronto and see why it has been called the most cosmopolitan city in the world! Over 80 different nationalities make this dynamic city hum and whirl with excitement. Our guided tour takes you through some of the most charming neighbourhoods of the city, including Chinatown, Greektown, Little Italy, as well as the Portuguese and Ukrainian areas. Sample ethnic food as you enjoy a progressive lunch. But we've saved the best for last, as you choose your evening dining and entertainment experience from a selection of ethnic flavours--from the sizzle of real Spanish flamenco to the sweetness of an Italian trattoria, a charming Greek taverna or a cozy French bistro--Toronto is truly a world within a city!

Don't miss Metro International Caravan, an annual celebration of Toronto's ethnic diversity. Held every June, this festival features the culture, crafts, music, dance and food of dozens of Toronto's nationalities, housed in pavilions named for cities they represent around the world.

Festivals and Special Events

Don't forget about Toronto's wealth of special events and annual festivals, including Caribana (North America's largest Caribbean carnival), the Symphony of Fire (a waterfront international musical fireworks competition), the Canadian National Exhibition (the world's largest annual exhibition featuring over 350 acres of Victorian-style display buildings), the semi-annual One of a Kind Craft Show & Sale (a showcase of original masterworks by over 400 of Canada's most skilled artisans), and the Creative Sewing and Needlework Festival (the world's largest display of needleart, offering workshops, lectures, exhibits and fashion shows.) There's always a special reason to come to Toronto!

Canada Blooms, this country's largest annual indoor flower exhibition, happens during the second week of March every year in Toronto. Featuring over six acres of exhibits, enjoy a breath of spring as the aroma of hyacinth and forsythia waft through the air. View beautifully crafted floral designs and learn new gardening techniques. CANTOURS will customize a package for your group, including visits to local indoor conservatories, a cactus greenhouse, as well as admissions to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton and the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls.

"Boomer" Getaway Package

Here's a flexible "weekend getaway" package for corporate clubs and associations which caters to the specific interests of both sexes. During the day, the men visit the Hockey Hall of Fame, a sports memorabilia store, enjoy a beer tasting and an afternoon "Launch" golf game, go-karts or billiards. Meanwhile, the women visit the Bata Shoe Museum, shop at a number of factory outlets and spend the afternoon relaxing at an exclusive spa (including facial, make-up application and manicure). Both groups meet back at the hotel and then enjoy an evening dinner theatre performance or dinner cruise in Toronto harbour. What a relaxing treat for everyone! (This program can also be arranged as mens or ladies getaways as well.)
