This unique program takes in the history and beauty of Ontario and Quebec. A must for anyone with an interest in gardening, flowers, horticulture and history. Highlights of visits include the Greenhouses and Gardens of Niagara Falls; the Royal Botanical Gardens of Hamilton; Historic homes, estates and gardens in Ontario and Quebec; Private garden tours; The Montreal Botanical gardens; Working greenhouses and nurseries; Quebec Country Gardens Montreal is the heartland of French-Canadian society and the unofficial commercial and cultural capital of French Canada. The largest French speaking city after Paris, France, Montreal shines with the vitality and excitement of a European capital city. Known for it excellent restaurants, French Theatre and the Arts, and Educational Institutions, Montreal provides an amazing glimpse into the Old World of French North America. The Québec City region offers a portrait of people that, over the centuries, has accumulated a priceless heritage. The only walled-city and one of only two UNESCO World Heritage sites in North America, Québec City is renowned for its natural beauty and its excellent hospitality. The city and the surrounding area promise you a voyage into history and culture from the early days of the colony of New France 450 years ago to the amazing historic city and its fortress citadel that overlooks the St. Lawrence River today. With its 200 year old tradition of hospitality and fine cuisine, charming villages, remarkable beauty and abundance of wildlife, Charlevoix is a hidden jewel in Quebec, Reminiscent of Normandy or Provence in France, Charlevoix has a tradition of attracting artists, gourmands and naturalists. A showcase of both nature and culture, Charlevoix was granted the status of a World Biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1989 and is one of the worlds few populated biospheres. One of the popular activities is Whale Watching on the St. Lawrence River. This program offers insight into the history and culture of the First Nations people who have lived in Ontario since the end of the last Ice Age. Sites across Ontario are linked to trace the past and present of these proud people and their special relationship with the Europeans who came to settle North America. Native guides, archaeologists and historians show how descendants of the original inhabitants now contribute to Canada's society. Activities include a visit to Algonquin Provincial Park, hosted by local Natives and featuring a lunch of indigenous food. Visits to Ste. Marie Among the Hurons and Crawford Lake offer participants a look at early living conditions. And finally, Woodland Cultural Centre, the Royal Chapel of the Mohawks and the new Kanata Iroquois Village give insight into the history and development of Native culture in Ontario. This package will delight you with a love and appreciation of nature. Visit some of Canadas most beautiful gardens and learn new horticultural techniques from the experts. This package features visits to gardens and greenhouses in Hamilton, Toronto, and Niagara Falls. Also included is a visit to Niagaras Butterfly Conservatory, where thousands of butterflies fly free amid lush, tropical surroundings! Guests may wish to extend their stay to include Ottawa and the Tulip Festival hosted every May with hundreds of thousands of tulips, nightly concerts, and a host of special events. Carnivals, races, festivals, celebrations, shows and lots more -- Ontario always has some special event to entice visitors. From historical re-enactments and cultural heritage events to annual community celebrations and sporting activities, there is always something to please everyone. Some of the more popular festivals and special events that attract groups include Oktoberfest in Kitchener-Waterloo, the Canadian Tulip Festival and Winterlude in Ottawa, the Greater Hamilton Tattoo, the Big Band Festival in London, and Caribana in Toronto. Ontario & Quebec Rendezvous
Canada has a proud heritage of two very different and distinct European cultures French and English. This program takes visitors from Ontario, the heartland of British influence in Canada, to Quebec, the original centre of French colonial influence in North America. Beginning in Niagara Falls,one of the worlds most famous natural wonders, the program continues to sophisticated Toronto, a modern metropolis featuring theatre, shopping, and fine dining. Continue on to Ottawa, the Nations Capital City, with its majestic buildings, national museums, and tulip gardens.
A short drive takes us to Montreal, one of the largest French-speaking cities in the world and often called the Paris of North America a city of light and life. But what a finish we have for you in Quebec City the only walled city in North America and the capital of the original French colony of New France.

Canadian Rail Excursions
Northern Ontario offers three scenic train excursions for visitors of all ages.
Running north from Sault Ste. Marie on the shores of Lake Superior, the world-famous Agawa Canyon train excursion winds its way deep into forested ravines, beside sparkling lakes, over narrow trestle bridges and into a vast mountain valley where passengers can enjoy a picnic lunch beside a serene river, explore a wooded nature trail or climb to the 250-foot lookout for a spectacular view of the immense gorge below.
The Polar Bear Express offers the ultimate wilderness adventure to the land of fur trappers and Cree Natives in Canada's Near Arctic. From Cochrane to Moosonee at the edge of James Bay, the train winds its way through forest, scrub brush, muskeg and Arctic tundra. Visit Ontario's oldest Hudson's Bay Company settlement at Moose Factory and watch as Natives fashion tamarack birds and bake bannock bread right before your eyes!

TINSEL & TURKEY (Pre-Christmas Celebration in Ontario or Quebec)
What could be more relaxing that a pre-Christmas celebration in the beautiful lake district north of Toronto or in the fairytale countryside of Quebec alongside the St. Lawrence River. Sample country hospitality as you share a traditional Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Between mid-November and mid-December, your group can enjoy Canadian Christmas festivities including a welcome reception, a tree decorating party, a horse-drawn wagon (or sleigh) ride followed by hot apple cider or hot chocolate, a visit by Santa Clause himself featuring a gift exchange and caroling by the fire. Nightly entertainment and refreshments are included.
