Birchbark Tales and Buckskin Trails - Native Culture Program
This program offers insight into the history and culture of the First Nations people who have lived in Ontario since the end of the last Ice Age. Sites across Ontario are linked to trace the past and present of these proud people and their special relationship with the Europeans who came to settle North America. Native guides, archaeologists and historians show how descendants of the original inhabitants now contribute to Canada's society. Activities include a visit to Algonquin Provincial Park, hosted by local Natives and featuring a lunch of indigenous food. Visits to Ste. Marie Among the Hurons and Crawford Lake offer participants a look at early living conditions. And finally, Woodland Cultural Centre, the Royal Chapel of the Mohawks and the new Kanata Iroquois Village give insight into the history and development of Native culture in Ontario.

Algonquin Wilderness Parks and Lakes
The quiet stillness of a northern lake, the haunting cry of a loon or the lonely howl of a wolf--these are the memories your group will share after they spend some time in Northern Ontario. Visit Algonquin Provincial Park where an experienced naturalist will guide visitors along forested paths and explain the natural features of the area. Learn about wildlife, hike along scenic trails, canoe on serene lakes and howl for wolves. The fall colours in this area are spectacular.
